QIA conducts monitoring to detect, at an early stage, new exotic pests and to prevent spread of plant pests before establish in Korea.

QIA has developed a system for an early detection and has been operating various programs including 'Pest Monitoring Agent', 'Monitoring and Inspection' and 'Control Activities' in areas susceptible to the introduction of foreign plant pests and diseases.
